Card Base - 10" x 5"

Step by Step Instructions:
Step #1
- Using your Stampin' trimmer place the 10" side of your card base alongthe top edge of the cutter. Sliding your card stock to the left measure over to the 3 1/4" mark, using the scoring tool score down 1 1/4". Slide your card stock to left again and find the 5" mark, using your scoring tool score down 1 1/4".
- Sliding your card stock to the left measure over to the 3 3/4" mark, using the scoring tool score down another 1 1/4", but this time from the last score point starting at 1 1/4" on the blade ruler and scoring down to the 2 1/2" mark. Slide your card stock to left again find the 5 1/2" mark, using your scoring tool score down 1 1/4", again from the last score point to starting at 1 1/4" on the blade ruler and scoring down to the 2 1/2" mark.
- Sliding your card stock to the left measure over to the 4 1/4" mark, using the scoring tool score down another 1 1/4", again from the last score point starting at 2 1/2" on the blade ruler and scoring down to the 3 3/4" mark. Slide your card stock to left again find the 6" mark, using your scoring tool score down 1 1/4", again from the last score point starting at 2 1/2" on the blade ruler and scoring down to the 3 3/4" mark.
- Sliding your card stock to the left measure over to the 4 3/4" mark, using the scoring tool score down another 1 1/4", from the last score point starting at 3 3/4" on the blade ruler and scoring down to the 5" mark. Slide your card stock to left again find the 6 1/2" mark, using your scoring tool score down 1 1/4", again from the last score point starting at 3 3/4" on the blade ruler and scoring down to the 5" mark.
Step #2
- Using your Stampin' trimmer turn your card stock 90 degrees to the right placing the 5" side of your base along the bottom edge of the cutter. Sliding your card stock to the left find the 1 1/4". You will now use the cutting blade to make a slit from the top score line on the second step to the bottom score line on the first step. Using the blade ruler this will be roughly from the 7" down to the 10 3/4" mark.
- Sliding your card stock to the left again find the 2 1/2" mark. Use the cutting blade to make a slit from the top score line on the third step to the bottom score line on the second step. Using the blade ruler this will be roughly from the 7 1/2" down to the 9 1/4" mark.
- Sliding your card stock to the left one more time find the 3 3/4". Use the cutting blade to make a slit from the top score line on the fourth step to the bottom score line on the third step. Using the blade ruler this will be roughly from the 6" down to the 9 3/4" mark.
Step #3
- Mountain fold the left most score lines and Valley fold the right most score lines to create the steps. Line up the top and bottom of the card stock before using a bone folder to make a crisper fold.
Step #4
- Using your Stampin' trimmer place the 10" side of your base along the top edge of the cutter. Sliding your card stock to the left measure over to the 1 1/2" mark, using the scoring tool score down to the 5" point. Valley fold along the score line with your bone folder. This will create the flap which you will use to attach your card front.
Step #5
- Turn over your card base and apply two stripes of strong adhesive to the back side of the flap you just created.
Helpful Tips:
Tip #1
To create the template for the inside of the card on either side of the steps to be covered by Designer Series Paper I created a second card base and cut away the steps leaving me with a template for both the right and left sides. I then trimmed away roughly 1/4" on the top and flat side of each piece to make the template slightly smaller so there would be a bit of a boarder around the Designer Series Paper when attached to the base.
Tip #2
Start out with two 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" pieces of Designer Series Paper and then place the template on top, trace around the template and then cut away the pieces not needed. Attach to card base.
Tip #3
I then used four 1 1/2" x 1" pieces of neutral card stock stamped to embellish the steps. Attach to card base.
Tip #4
I then used a 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" piece of card stock and a 4 1/2" x 3" piece of neutral card stock to create the place where my message would be written. Attach to card base.

Embellish front of card as desired!
