Rachelle Anne Miller's Christmas Collection!!!

I had just about the most FABulous morning of crafting with two lovely friends of mine. Claire had one heck of an EPIC nap and so I was able to create not one, not two, BUT a collection of THREE child themed cards with my brand new Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps!!!

It is so fun to be friends with such a talented designer and see her creations come to light in so many fantastic ways. I will be ordering a few cross stitch patterns which she just had launch to create presents for our daughter and two nieces :)

I am entering these cards in a few different challenges!

CAS(E) This Sketch & The Friday Mashup ~ Love...

I wanted to take part in the challenge over at the Friday Mashup this week as it is something close to my heart but I have honestly had a hard time sitting down to create anything. Their challenge this week is to create a card to commemorate National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, which takes place next month.

I have such mixed feelings about this as October brings such painful memories of sorrow as we remember the two babies we lost in 2011 but also a tremendous sense of joy and peace as we celebrate the birthday of our sweet baby girl we welcomed last October. It is a very difficult thing to cope with and we mourn the lives of those two babies who were not meant to be but also celebrate the blessing that Claire has brought to our lives! We simply cannot imagine our lives without Claire and if things had turned out differently she never would have been.

I decided I would keep it simple and create something that spoke to the way I am feeling and so here it is. I have used the sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch to create this card.

We have had a busy week here with Ethan being in school and trying to get Claire settled into a new routine and it has all gone very well {knock wood}. But now that our lives are a little busier than usual it is nice to be reminded that sometimes it is nice to "live simply" :)

Seize the Sketch & House of Cards ~ So Kind of You

Good morning everyone :) Hope your week is going well, but just in case it is not we are half way to the weekend! The kiddos have a cold this week so we have been having a few more wake ups at night and cranky days than usual. Yes we have a little guy is school now, start the year of GERMS lol Hopefully his poor little sister will have her immune system built up by everything he is bringing home so by the time she starts school she will be A Okay! :)

Moving on to a simple little card I made this morning for the lovely mother of my FABulous friend Tara. She was in town visiting last weekend and she took us out for dinner before a lovely evening of crafting so I thought I would send a long a little "Thank You".

To make this card I have used the sketch from Seize the Sketch and the colour theme and CAS challenge over at House of Cards
